Some patients are anxious about receiving dental treatments. At Hollis Dental Practice, we make attending a dental appointment as pleasant as possible for all our patients. We pay special attention to patients who get particularly anxious before treatments.
Anxious patients may not seek treatment because they were nervous about seeing a dentist. This delay can make treatment more difficult for progressive issues that might have initially been easy to remedy.
Dentists who Listen
The Dental Professionals at Hollis Dental Practice are trained to put our patients at ease, especially those who are nervous and anxious about their treatment.
We inform all our patients about what to expect during any dental procedure. If you or your child are anxious about a dental treatment, please let us know, and we will address your worries and make sure you are comfortable before proceeding.
Mild Sedation for Nervous Patients
Our Dentists can arrange mild sedation as an option for anxious patients. Under the influence of intravenous sedation, our patients can comfortably receive the treatment they need. After the procedure, our Dental and Medical professionals can support you until you recover fully and are ready to leave.
After a sedation appointment, you need to ask a friend or relative to collect you from the practice as its best not to drive a vehicle for several hours after being sedated.
We have been coming to this dental practice for over 25 years and during that time have received first class treatment in a friendly & professional environment. Many thanks.
I registered at the practice as an NHS patient and I was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly receptionist and the dentist Dr Sam Protty was brilliant (and calming). He told me straight away what is the issue with my front teeth what other dentists failed to identify in the past 5 years.
